Feast 2 FIGHT AIDS @ Smokin’ Chick’s Starts 11/3.

That’s right! Our friends at Smokin’ Chick’s Barbecue will be cooking up some of their trademark good eats for the cause EVERY WEDNESDAY in November–so put it on your calendar and print out the flyer today. First Wednesday is 11/3.

Barbecue ImagesAll you have to do is bring in one of our F2FA Smokin’ Chicks’s Flyers for 2010 (PDF), and Chick and Lissa and company will donate 15% of what you spend to Trail to a Cure.

Why not support this locally owned small business while also helping cover the costs for Trail to a Cure’s annualRide/Walk/Run in May–making sure all the proceeds from that event that are raised by participants go to the cause.

Go ahead. You won’t regret it!

  1. A nice dinner was enjoyed by at least 7 people at Smokin’ Chick’s last night (including me).

It is a good feeling to support a local, family-owned business in which the owner is the man preparing your food. And the food rocks. I recommend the brisket. And the tossed salad they serve as a side puts many others to shame. My tablemates both loved their food as well. I think between the three of us we had all the meat offerings covered.

They have a wide variety of foods on the menu–mostly types of barbecue, but you owe it to yourself to try it.

Next Wednesday is another opportunity–along with the two after that. Those are the next Feast 2 FIGHT AIDS events on tap.

Speaking of taps, they serve beer, if that’s your thing.

Oh, and if you want to be the new favorite person in the office, bring in some of their Smokin’ Chick’s catered food (I brought two types of meat from Smokin’ Chick’s to our holiday party and it was set upon and devoured quickly–good stuff!).

So check it out, and be sure to thank Chick or Lissa or whomever is working when you stop in.

    See you Wednesday!
